Audacy Now Has Local Sports Brands in All Top 10 Markets in America; Creates an LA Local Sports and News Powerhouse alongside KNX News

LOS ANGELES, CA - April 28, 2026 - Audacy announces the launch of 97.1 The Fan, the first-ever FM all-sports audio brand in Los Angeles history. Debuting May 11 at 6:00 a.m. PT, the station will provide in-depth coverage of the area's professional and college teams, breaking news, and engaging sports conversation, tailor-made for the Southern California sports fan, including the market's only all-live, local weekday sports lineup.

With the addition of 97.1 The Fan to its lineup alongside KNX News 1070, Audacy also increases its commitment to providing Los Angeles with even more of the best in local news, sports, traffic, and information. Both brands will also be available through the Audacy app, partner streaming platforms, and all social channels.

Andrew Williams has been named Brand Manager of 97.1 The Fan, overseeing the station's debut programming lineup to be announced in the coming weeks. Williams previously led the BetMGM Network, serving as the architect for their national video and podcast distribution strategies. An industry veteran who began his career in local radio, Williams also held senior leadership roles at SiriusXM and Chicago Fire FC.
