On the occasion of the national holiday of the Federal Republic of Germany, President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Armenia, Claudia Busch.
President Khachaturyan, welcoming the Ambassador, congratulated her as well as the friendly people and authorities of Germany, wishing prosperity, peace, and continued success.
Ambassador Claudia Busch, in turn, expressed gratitude for the reception and the warm wishes, noting that throughout her diplomatic mission she is committed to making every effort to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the importance of deepening and developing bilateral relations, as well as enhancing cooperation within the framework of the European Union, was emphasized. The sides noted that the partnership between Armenia and Germany contributes not only to the strengthening of political and economic ties but also to the promotion of democratic values and stability in the region.
The conversation also touched upon the European Political Community Summit and the COP-17 Conference on Biodiversity, both to be held in Armenia in 2026. Ambassador Busch noted that these important international events are in the focus of the German side's attention and emphasized that Germany is ready to provide its support and ensure broad participation.
The President and the Ambassador also highly valued the support provided by Germany over the years for reforms in Armenia's democratic and state institutions, highlighting its significant role in the country's development and European integration process.
