Mission of Undersecretary Dell’Utri to New York

The Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs, Massimo Dell'Utri, carried out a mission to New York to take part in the event "Investing in Southern Italy", organised by the Fondazione Magna Grecia in cooperation with ENIT and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in New York.

During the initiative, hosted at the premises of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, the Undersecretary underlined the strength of bilateral economic relations between Italy and the United States, highlighting the Government's commitment to enhancing the country's attractiveness for foreign investment, with particular focus on Southern Italy. "Southern Italy today represents one of the most dynamic and promising areas for new investments in the manufacturing, logistics, energy and tourism sectors. Thanks to its strategic position in the Mediterranean and the instruments introduced by the Government, Southern Italy is increasingly competitive and open to new partnerships with the United States," said Undersecretary Dell'Utri.

The event forms part of the broader strategy to promote Italian exports and attract foreign investment. This process will continue on 16 June in Bari, with a preparatory stage of the National Export Conference dedicated to Southern Italy, and on 22 June in Miami, where the Business Forum will take place in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani.

During the mission, the Undersecretary also laid a wreath at the "Survivor Tree", the tree recovered from the rubble of Ground Zero.
