As we reflect on the 2025-26 athletic year, one theme stands above the rest: momentum.
Across our athletic programs, we saw student-athletes reach new heights, teams return to postseason competition, records fall, and milestones reached that will be remembered for years to come. Whether competing for conference championships, earning academic recognition, or helping build the future of emerging programs, our Tornados demonstrated what it means to pursue excellence both on and off the field.
This year wasn't defined by a single team or a single moment. It was defined by a collective commitment to growth, resilience, and achievement that continues to move Tornado Athletics forward.
Some of the most memorable moments of the year came when our teams achieved milestones that reflected years of hard work and dedication.
Women's Soccer delivered one of the most successful seasons in program history. One of the defining moments of the year came from our Women's Soccer program. Entering the Southern Collegiac Athletic Conference (SCAC) tournament as the No. 4 seed, our Tornados accomplished something no other team in conference history had done before: become the first fourth-seeded team to advance to the SCAC championship match. Along the way, they defeated top-seeded Texas Lutheran in a dramatic semifinal matchup and secured the program's first appearance in the SCAC championship after joining the conference in 2024.
The postseason run demonstrated how quickly the program has developed and established itself as a contender within the conference. The championship appearance also earned several Tornados recognition on the SCAC All-Tournament Team, further highlighting the impact the program made on the conference stage.
Men's Basketball took an important step forward this season by returning to the SCAC tournament and reestablishing itself as a postseason contender. Throughout the year, our Tornados earned key conference victories and demonstrated the consistency needed to compete for a playoff spot. While the season ended in the conference tournament, the team's return to postseason competition reflected the progress being made within Tornado Basketball and provided a strong foundation to build upon in the years ahead.
Not every milestone comes from a breakthrough season. For Concordia Texas Baseball, playoff games have become the standard. Our baseball team continued the tradition of competing among the conference's best. Another strong season and postseason regional tournament games reinforced the consistency that has made the program one of the cornerstones of Tornado Athletics.
Success this year extended beyond postseason appearances.
Track & Field continued its upward trajectory with record-breaking performances, conference scoring finishes, and standout individual accomplishments throughout the season. At the SCAC championships, our student-athletes set school records, achieved personal bests, and delivered strong performances across multiple events. The progress made by both the men's and women's teams reflects the continued growth of the program and the opportunities available for student athletes to compete at a high level.
Concordia Texas also celebrates another championship season from our Esports program. This year, our Tornados captured the 2025 SCAC Esports Championship, earning the conference title for the second consecutive year and securing the program's third overall conference championship. The team showcased resilience throughout the postseason, highlighted by a dramatic comeback victory in the Valorant finals that helped secure the championship trophy. As one of the fastest-growing areas of collegiate athletics, Esports continues to create new opportunities for our students to compete at a high level while developing the teamwork, communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills that extend far beyond competition.

Give NowWhile championships and records often capture attention, proud accomplishments took place in the classroom this year as well.
A total of 61 Tornado student-athletes were named to the Fall 2025 SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll, demonstrating that excellence at Concordia Texas extends far beyond athletic competition. Balancing practices, travel, competition schedules, and academics requires discipline and commitment, and these students exemplified what it means to succeed in all aspects of the collegiate experience.
Their accomplishments reflect a core belief that athletics should enhance a student's education, preparing them for success long after their playing careers come to an end.
As we look toward the future, we see an Athletic Department filled with opportunity.
The accomplishments of this year created momentum across Tornado Athletics and reinforced the direction our programs are headed. From championship appearances and playoff runs to academic achievement and program growth, student-athletes continue to raise expectations for what is possible.
For prospective students considering Concordia University Texas, our athletic programs offer more than competition. They provide opportunities to grow as leaders, scholars, teammates, and competitors while becoming part of a community committed to helping every student reach their full potential.
This year brought memorable accomplishments, but more importantly, it laid the foundation for what comes next. We are proud of what our student athletes achieved, and we are excited about the future they continue to build.
