March 13, 2026 final unofficial election results

Because only one candidate met the majority requirement, two City Council seats remain to be filled.

State law provides that when seats remain, the number of candidates advancing to the general (runoff) election equals twice the number of seats remaining. With two seats open, the four highest vote-getters who were not elected outright at the primary election advance to the general (runoff) election.

Accordingly, Councilmember Jennifer Adams, Councilmember Berdetta Hodge, Bobby Nichols and Brooke St. George (listed in alphabetical order) will appear on the May 19, 2026 General (Runoff) Election ballot to compete for the two remaining Council seats.

The two candidates receiving the highest number of votes in May will be elected to the Tempe City Council.
