SCO Secretariat Delegation Participates in High-Level Week of UN General Assembly

From September 22 to 27, 2025, delegation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat headed by Secretary General Nurlan Yermekbayev in New York, USA participated in the events of the high-level week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

As part of the anniversary session, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings with FAO Director-General Qu Dongyu, Alexander Zouev, Acting Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Counter-Terrorism, Li Junhua, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Economic and Social Affairs, Maryam Bint Ali bin Nasser Al-Misnad, Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, spoke at a high-level meeting to mark the 30th anniversary of the World Youth Action Program, as well as a high-level event on primary health care.

The Secretariat delegation held the third round of consultations with the United Nations Department of Political Affairs and Peace-building and met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Khaled Youssef Al-Jalahma.
