Theodora T. McCormick Named Managing Shareholder of Baker Donelson's Princeton, New Jersey, Office

Theodora T. "Teddy" McCormick has been named managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Princeton, New Jersey, office. She succeeds Anjana D. Patel, who has served as office managing shareholder of both the Princeton and Metropark offices since the Firm established its New Jersey presence in 2025.

While serving as office managing shareholder, Ms. McCormick will continue her practice representing companies across the health care, life sciences, dietary supplement, and wellness industries in complex litigation, regulatory matters, and business disputes. She counsels clients on a broad range of issues, including government investigations, advertising and marketing compliance, consumer class actions, unfair competition claims, and contract disputes.

The leadership transition reflects the continued growth of Baker Donelson's New Jersey offices and the Firm's commitment to providing local leadership and support for attorneys and professional staff in Princeton. As office managing shareholder of the Metropark office, Ms. Patel will continue working closely with Ms. McCormick to support the strategic growth and development of Baker Donelson's New Jersey platform.

"Since joining Baker Donelson, we have built a strong foundation in New Jersey by focusing on client service, teamwork, and a shared commitment to growing our presence in the market," Ms. Patel said. "As the Princeton office continues to grow, having a leader based in the office who can be a consistent resource for our attorneys and staff is a natural next step. Teddy has been an integral part of our Princeton team from the beginning. She brings energy, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to leadership, and I am confident she will continue building on the momentum we have created together."

A shareholder in Baker Donelson's Health Law Group, Ms. McCormick is widely recognized for her work representing businesses in highly regulated industries. She represents companies in disputes involving government agencies, insurers, competitors, business partners, suppliers, and customers and has extensive experience handling consumer class actions, Federal Trade Commission investigations and enforcement proceedings, Food and Drug Administration-related matters, and advertising and unfair competition disputes. She also advises clients on risk management, business operations, and compliance issues affecting companies in the wellness industry.

"I am honored to take on this role and excited about what lies ahead for our Princeton office. We have an extraordinarily talented group of attorneys and professionals who are deeply committed to our clients, to one another, and to building something special here in New Jersey," Ms. McCormick said. "Anjana deserves tremendous credit for what we have accomplished since Baker Donelson entered the New Jersey market. She has led the establishment and growth of both of our New Jersey offices with extraordinary energy, vision, and generosity, while creating a culture that is welcoming and intensely focused on client service. I am very grateful for her leadership, her friendship, and the confidence she has placed in me. I look forward to working closely with Anjana and our colleagues in Princeton, Metropark, and across the Firm as we continue to grow our presence in New Jersey, deepen our relationships with clients, and create opportunities for our people."

Ms. McCormick earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and her undergraduate degree from Tulane University. She has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation since 2016 and has been listed in New Jersey Super Lawyers for Health Care and Business Litigation (2016 - 2024) and its "Top 50 Women" List (2017).
