Los Reales Sustainability Campus Earns Bronze-Level State Environmenta

The City of Tucson Environmental Services Department is proud to announce that the Los Reales Sustainability Campus has received a Bronze-level Arizona Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP) award from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), recognizing three years of strong compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.

The Los Reales team received the recognition this week for their work employees perform every day to responsibly manage Tucson's waste while maintaining high environmental and operational standards.

Los Reales Sustainability Campus serves as a critical part of Tucson's waste management system. In addition to landfill operations, the campus supports a growing number of the city's waste diversion and sustainability programs as Environmental Services works to find new ways to reduce what Tucson sends to the landfill.

The award recognizes the behind-the-scenes work required to safely operate and maintain the facility, from environmental monitoring and regulatory reporting to daily landfill operations. Thank you to the Los Reales team for your daily commitment to our city!
