City of Glendale Invites Community to Honor Local Heroes at
Annual Veterans Day Celebration

Glendale, CA - The City of Glendale proudly invites residents, veterans, military families, and community members to come together for its annual Veterans Day celebration on Wednesday, November 11, 2026. This special event will honor the courageous men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces and recognize their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our nation's freedoms.

Following the tremendous success of last year's celebration, which welcomed approximately 150 attendees, the City looks forward to welcoming an even larger gathering of veterans and community members for a meaningful day of appreciation and recognition. This year's event will take place at a larger venue, providing additional space for attendees to connect and honor those who have served. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with organizations offering valuable resources and services for veterans, while enjoying a welcoming atmosphere dedicated to recognizing our local heroes. The event will also feature food generously donated by local businesses and community partners as a gesture of appreciation for those who have served.

The City of Glendale is also welcoming generous donations from local restaurants and businesses to help make this year's celebration a memorable experience for our veterans. The City is grateful for the support of community partners, including The Corner Bistro, Porto's Bakery, California Pizza Kitchen, Arts Bakery, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Yan's Restaurant, and the American Dental & Medical Institute, whose generosity helps demonstrate our community's appreciation for those who have served. Additional local businesses interested in contributing to this special event are encouraged to contact Annette Ghazarian at [email protected] or (818) 548-3342.

"Veterans Day is an opportunity to express our deepest gratitude to those brave individuals who step up to serve our country," said Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian. "Their courage and dedication deserve to be recognized not just on Veterans Day but every day. We invite everyone to join us at a special event with free food, presentations and resources for our men and women who served in uniform. We want our veterans to know that their service is appreciated."
