McCombie Visits Students at WACC, Encourages Future Leaders

House Minority Leader Tony McCombie recently visited the Whiteside Area Career Center to speak to students in the "CEO" program and take a tour of the facility, which serves over 600 students per year.

The WACC CEO program is a one-to-two-year entrepreneurial course for high school juniors and seniors, focusing on business development, marketing, and financial strategies. During her visit, Leader McCombie gave the group insight into her own career journey and ideas to consider for their own. According to McCombie, "It was a great group of young, inspiring individuals; I can't wait to see where they go!"

On the facility tour, McCombie was able to get firsthand insight into the programming WACC offers to prepare students for college and careers.

"On the tour we were able to see some of those up close: from building trades to culinary arts and healthcare programs…they are investing in career and technical education that prepares students for success," said McCombie.
