The University of Toledo's Institute of American Constitutional Thought and Leadership will host a public lecture exploring the fundamental tension between systems of limited government and centralized power.

"Can Communism and Constitutionalism Coexist?" is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, in the College of Law Room 1013. The event is free and open to the public, with lunch and free parking provided for attendees.

The lecture will feature Elizabeth Spalding, a professor and nationally respected scholar of American political thought from Pepperdine University. Spalding will examine systems grounded in natural rights and limited government versus those rooted in centralized power and collective control.

Attendees are encouraged to register in advance. To RSVP, visit the event's website.
