Greensboro Police Investigate Fatal Crash

GREENSBORO, NC (April 13, 2026) - A 34-year-old Greensboro man died Sunday after a single car crash off Pisgah Church Road.

Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS responded to a crash with injuries at approximately 10:09 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Wesley Harris Circle. Investigators determined that Shaki M. Thornhill was driving a Honda Civic east on Pisgah Church Road, went left of center, and ran off road to the left. The car then struck a fire hydrant, a fence, and a tree.

Thornhill was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. His family has been notified.

The Greensboro Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating. Additional details are not immediately available for release.

This is the 15th traffic death in the city this year.
