SIUE Student Government Holds Second Annual State of the Student Body

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's student government held its second Annual State of the Student Body address on Monday, Feb. 2, at the Morris University Center.

Student Body President Jenna Nestor, a third-year marketing and management major, led presentations of the various committees that covered past and future calendar items along with data on student feedback.

Chancellor James T. Minor, PhD, SIU System President Dan Mahony, PhD, and SIUE executive board and student senators were in attendance along with Chief David Goodwin of SIUE PD, Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs Miriam Roccia and various department leaders.

Nestor opened the meeting by expressing the student government's intent "to collaborate with different departments on purpose and build relationships to help benefit student life."
