Community Feedback Shapes Business Growth – from Trader Joe’s to Nordstrom Rack

Goodyear residents invited to share which businesses they want in the city

What businesses do you love, and which ones do you wish were in Goodyear? That's what the city is asking its residents. Residents have the opportunity to formally share their ideas for future shopping, dining, and entertainment in Goodyear from October 1 through November 15.

The results from past community input have played a direct role in attracting new businesses to Goodyear. Residents have asked for favorites like WinCo Foods, Hobby Lobby, Raising Cane's, Over Easy, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, Shooter's World, and White Castle - all of which are now open. Requests for dancing/nightlife, live entertainment, and seafood have also been high on the list. Those wishes have become reality in GSQ, Goodyear's new downtown, with The Stillery bringing dining, live music, and country dancing, and High Tide Seafood opening right next door. Both welcomed their first customers between late 2024 and early 2025.

"Community feedback is essential as we continue to explore options that reflect the needs and interests of Goodyear residents," said Mayor Joe Pizzillo. "This process is one of the most direct ways people can help shape the city's future business mix."

In addition, Goodyear has recently announced major community-requested destinations including Trader Joe's, Nordstrom Rack, Fogo de Chão, First Watch, California Fish Grill, CAVA, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Black Rock Coffee Bar, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, and Buc-ee's, which will be the company's first Arizona location.

Residents can participate at goodyearaz.gov/survey and are encouraged to spread the word to family, friends, and visitors who love to shop, dine, and unwind in the city.
