Statement on December 2025 Revenue Estimates

(Washington, DC) - Today, the DC Government released the revised revenue estimates for the District of Columbia Budget and Financial Plan. The revenue forecast is unchanged compared to the September estimates. In response, Mayor Bowser released the following statement:

"This year brought us a series of significant challenges, but we continued to prove that Washington, DC is a resilient city. As we await more data on the impact of federal job losses, we already know that our continued growth requires us to stay focused on diversifying our economy, connecting DC residents to good-paying jobs, and investing in the people and programs - especially our schools and public safety - that make DC a great place to start and raise a family. We took this fiscally sustainable approach throughout 2025 and were successful in changing the trajectory of our economy. In 2026, we will continue to lean into what DC does well, from sports and tech to health care and hospitality. In doing so, we will continue to deliver big wins for Washingtonians."
