Feedback for Chamber Accessibility Project

The city is evaluating a project to improve accessibility in the Paul Tauer Aurora City Council Chamber, located at the Aurora Municipal Center, and is requesting public input on the proposed design.

Residents are invited to attend a public meeting and provide feedback from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, in the Aurora Room. The meeting will include a formal presentation.

Live sign language interpretation (ASL) will be provided, and the presentation will be captioned and transcribed using the Microsoft accessibility features.

If other accommodations are needed (i.e. CART, large print materials, etc.), please submit a request to the Office of ADA Compliance and Accessibility online at AuroraGov.org/Accessibility, by email at [email protected] or by phone at 303.326.8858.

If Spanish or other language access services are needed, please also submit an accommodation request to the Office of ADA Compliance and Accessibility. Individuals are highly encouraged to submit their requests a minimum of three business days in advance of the meeting.

For those who cannot attend the meeting, a survey will be available online from Aug. 5 to 26 at EngageAurora.org/ChamberAccessibility, along with a short video summarizing the proposed design.

Project recommendations and renderings are available at EngageAurora.org/ChamberAccessibility.

The City Council Chamber Accessibility Improvement Project supports our strategic planning outcome of Well-Managed.
