Missouri Pork Association Accepting Applications for 2027 Youth Pork Ambassador

Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri Pork Association (MPA) is accepting applications for its 2027 Youth Pork Ambassador Program. The program gives students the opportunity to learn more about Missouri's pork industry, meet people working in the industry and earn a $1,000 scholarship to be used at a technical school, community college or four-year college or university.

The selected ambassador will spend the year representing MPA and Missouri's pork industry at events across the state. Participation includes attending at least five events such as the Missouri Pork Classic Golf Tournament, Governor's Conference on Agriculture, Missouri State Fair and Missouri Pork Expo.

Along the way, the ambassador will gain firsthand experience with the pork industry, learn from pork producers and allied industry members, and develop communication and leadership skills. The program also provides an opportunity to make connections that can be valuable as students continue their education and begin their careers.

Applicants must be high school seniors through college sophomores as of January 1, 2027. Completed applications and three letters of recommendation are due December 11, 2026.
