Drivers should expect temporary northbound closures on Custer Parkway at Campbell Road Monday and Tuesday next week as Atmos Energy begins work for the relocation of an existing gas line.
During underground testing associated with the Custer Parkway Improvement Project, crews identified an Atmos gas line in an area where one had not been previously identified. The line must be relocated before construction work in this area can continue.
The first closure is scheduled for Monday, when northbound Custer Parkway will be temporarily closed at Campbell Road. The closure will take place during non-peak traffic hours, no earlier than 9 a.m. and no later than 3:30 p.m.
Drivers should expect delays near Custer Parkway and Campbell Road and consider using alternate routes. Drivers may use Cap Rock Drive to Custer Parkway or Nantucket Drive to Copper Ridge Drive to Custer Parkway to travel around the affected area.
Motorists are encouraged to watch for changing traffic patterns, follow posted traffic-control signs and use caution when traveling near construction crews.
Updates on the Custer Parkway Improvement Project, along with an option to sign up to receive project updates by email, are available at www.cor.net/CusterParkway.
