East Washington Street Lane Closure

The eastbound lane of the 200 block of East Washington Street, from Davie Street to Church Street, is closed due to a water main break.

City crews will be on-site until repairs are completed, the road reopened, and service is restored, which is expected by 5 pm today, Friday, January 2. Signs and traffic cones are in place, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area. See the map below for the location.

If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or bathtub, until clear.
