State Route 4 - Ramp Closure
Daytime Ramp Closure On Crosstown Freeway In Stockton

San Joaquin County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 4 (SR-4) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Full off-ramp closure from eastbound SR-4/Crosstown Freeway at Lincoln Street for bridge inspection on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Interstate 5 - Lane & Ramp Closures
Closures From Hammer Lane To Sacramento County Line

San Joaquin County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Monday, January 5, through Saturday, January 10, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
  • Overnight, alternating full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Monday, January 5, through Saturday, January 10, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).

The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. Interstate 580 - Full Highway Closures
Overnight Closures At Patterson Pass For Bridge Work

San Joaquin County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 580 (I-580) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:

  • Overnight, full closure of eastbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for bridge work beginning at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on eastbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Monday, January 5, through Friday, January 9, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full closures of westbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for bridge work beginning Tuesday, January 6, through Friday, January 9, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, full on- and off-ramp closures on westbound I-580 at Patterson Pass for construction beginning Monday, January 5, through Friday, January 9, from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
