Visit by Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim to Batam, Indonesia 3 to 4 September 2026
Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim will visit Batam, Riau Islands (KEPRI) Province, Indonesia, from 3 to 4 September 2026.
The visit reaffirms the longstanding and positive ties between Singapore and the Riau Islands, and our shared commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. During his visit, Minister of State Zhulkarnain will meet KEPRI Vice Governor Nyanyang Haris Pratamura, Batam Mayor and BP Batam Chairman Amsakar Achmad, and Batam Vice Mayor and BP Batam Vice Chairperson Li Claudia Chandra.
Minister of State Zhulkarnain will attend the Singapore National Day Reception hosted by the Singapore Consulate-General in Batam as the Guest-of-Honour. Minister of State Zhulkarnain will also visit industrial parks and engage students and faculty at Batam Tourism Polytechnic.
Minister of State Zhulkarnain will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
