Lane Closure at Intersection of Highway 13/151 Happening Tonight; Intersection to Operate as an All-Way Stop
The City of Marion will be closing the left turn lane for eastbound traffic on Business Highway 151 at the intersection with Highway 13 at 9 p.m. tonight, Monday, April 6.
The intersection will operate as an all-way stop for 4 hours while the pole and mast arm are removed and replaced with a temporary pole and span wire.
A recent structural inspection of the City's older traffic signals discovered that the pole was compromised.
The work is being performed at night to limit the inconvenience for drivers and improve worker safety.
Commuters are advised to use alternate intersections during this time, as delays are likely.
