UNRWA Commissioner-General: The occupied West Bank is in the grip of its most severe humanitarian crisis since 1967

From Philippe Lazzarini, the UNRWA Commissioner-General as posted on his official X account (previously known as Twitter)

The occupied West Bank is in the grip of its most severe humanitarian crisis since 1967.
One year since the start of Israel's 'Iron Wall' military operation, 33,000 people remain forcibly displaced from Palestine Refugee camps in the north. Meanwhile, Israeli forces have been demolishing swathes of the camps, reducing the chances for these communities to recover.
UNRWA teams on the ground are assisting newly displaced Palestine Refugees who have been pushed deeper into poverty, and have no viable alternatives for healthcare, education and welfare.
UNRWA works.
But to continue to do so, we need continued political and financial support from Member States.
