Second update: Columbia Police arrest second suspect in March 4 homicide on Allen Street

(COLUMBIA, MO)-

Columbia Police arrested Landen Ladaren Jackson, 24, of Columbia, on March 5 for his involvement in the shooting death of William Riechers, 20, of Columbia, on March 4 in the area of Allen and Bryant streets.

Jackson was arrested on charges of second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

Columbia Police also arrested Damarius Kavanaugh, 19, of Columbia, earlier on March 5 for his involvement in this homicide.

At approximately 3:48 p.m. on March 4, Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call in the area of Allen and Bryant streets. Officers located Riechers with a gunshot wound and provided emergency medical care. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
