Rep. Robb Blasdel Highlights New OneOhio Grant Funding to Combat Addiction and Strengthen Recovery

State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) today announced that the OneOhio Recovery Foundation has launched a new statewide round of opioid settlement grant funding, making up to $45.7 million available to support prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across Ohio.

Regional Grant Cycle 2 invites organizations working to address substance use disorders to prepare for the Funding Inquiry window, which opened January 14, 2026. The full Request for Proposals is available on the OneOhio Grant Headquarters webpage at OneOhioFoundation.com/Grants.

"These opioid settlement dollars are being invested responsibly to support local communities and strengthen recovery efforts where they're needed most," said Robb Blasdel. "This new round of grants will help those on the frontlines who are working every day to save lives, strengthen families, and support long-term recovery in our communities."

This round advances the momentum of the first grant cycle which distributed more than $45 million to over 240 locally driven projects across Ohio. Those grants supported youth prevention, school-based mental health programs, recovery housing, treatment expansion, post-overdose outreach, and workforce initiatives in the behavioral health field.

To support applicants, the Foundation will host several webinars. Additional event details will be posted at OneOhioFoundation.com/Grants.

Key Dates for Regional Grant Cycle 2

  • January 14, 2026: Funding Inquiry window opens
  • February 11, 2026: Funding Inquiry window closes

Robb Blasdel encouraged eligible local organizations, including nonprofits, schools, recovery centers, hospitals, county agencies, and coalitions, to review the RFP and consider applying.

"OneOhio's work is grounded in local leadership and community priorities," said Blasdel. "These grants ensure opioid settlement funds are invested responsibly in evidence-informed solutions that help people heal and help communities move forward by supporting those on the frontlines of this crisis."

The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization created at the direction of Ohio's state and local leaders to distribute 55 percent of the funds our state will receive from the pharmaceutical industry as part of the agreed-upon Distributor settlement reached as a consequence of the national opioid epidemic. The Foundation works with local stakeholders to support their substance misuse prevention, treatment and recovery efforts and invest funds to support these efforts for Ohioans into the future.
