MEDFORD, Ore. (March 5, 2026) - Asante Foundation recently reached a major milestone in the AsanteForward2030 campaign to expand The Family House in Grants Pass, by surpassing $1 million in philanthropic support. This achievement marks a significant step toward doubling the capacity of The Family House, which provides an affordable place to stay for patients and families traveling long distances for treatment at Three Rivers Medical Center.
AsanteForward2030 is Asante Foundation's philanthropic effort to transform the quality and scope of health care across Asante's nine-county region, ensuring exceptional care is available close to home through continued community support. AsanteForward2030 includes three key focus areas: cardiac care expansion, cancer care and The Family House expansion.
As part of this effort, Asante Foundation is advancing plans to double The Family House from seven to 14 rooms and add an additional three RV spots, helping ensure more families can access the health care they need without the added burden of lodging and transportation costs. The required budget is $3.2 million, and gifts of any size will help move the project forward. Reaching the $1 million milestone marks a significant achievement in making this expansion a reality for patients.
Since opening in 2008, The Family House has served as a vital refuge for patients and loved ones. Demand continues to grow, and with limited capacity, the need for patient lodging consistently outpaces availability. Through AsanteForward2030, more patients will be supported.
"Reaching the one-million-dollar mark is a powerful testament to the compassion and generosity of our community. Every gift reflects a shared belief that no family should navigate a medical journey alone. This milestone brings us one step closer to expanding The Family House and ensuring more patients and loved ones have a safe, supportive place to call home during their greatest time of need," said Andrea Reeder, Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer at Asante.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Asante Foundation hosted a celebration for the community, recognizing the milestone. The event honored donors, partners and community members who have helped reach this mark. During the event, guests heard patients share their stories of how The Family House has made a difference in their care.
