Environmental Resources Center aims to drive dialogue on climate change at Sept. 25 Conservation Conversation

The Environmental Resources Center in the College of Science at Purdue Fort Wayne will host its largest annual event, Conservation Conversation, on Sept. 25 in the International Ballroom at Walb Student Union. The title of this year's conversation is "Changing the Climate." Activities and discussions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Speakers will come from both academia and the community. Anyone wishing to keep the conversation going is invited to stick around for a postevent reception.

Held for the sixth time, Conservation Conversation is a chance for the public, representatives from various local and regional entities, and PFW faculty and staff to exchange information on topics related to sustainability and the environment. The goal is to facilitate dialogue about the opportunities and challenges of conservation efforts in this growing community.

Speakers from higher education, the City of Fort Wayne, NIPSCO, the Hoosier Environmental Council, and others will cover topics such as the science, challenges and mitigation of climate change, and responding to policy setbacks.

General admission, which includes lunch and the reception, costs $5 for students and $10 for all other attendees. Those interested can register at pfw.edu/erc.
