Oct 17, 2026

Charlotte, NC - The American Trucking Associations opened trucking's premiere industry event, the 2026 ATA Management Conference & Exhibition, where the industry's leading advocates will discuss the future of trucking and advance the priorities that will shape the year ahead. The event, themed "Forward Together," officially kicked off today at the Charlotte Convention Center.

"ATA's Management Conference & Exhibition brings together the leaders who are shaping trucking's future and driving America's economy," said ATA Chief Advocacy & Public Affairs Officer Henry Hanscom. "At a time of rapid change and significant opportunity, there is no better place for our industry to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and align around the priorities that matter most. From cargo theft and lawsuit abuse to building and retaining a qualified workforce, the conversations taking place this week will help define the road ahead for trucking."

MCE will feature discussions on the economy, safety, technology, regulation, workforce policy, tort reform, and other critical issues affecting the trucking industry. Over the next several days, attendees will participate in committee meetings, educational sessions, networking events, and policy discussions focused on strengthening trucking's role as the backbone of America's economy.

"'Forward Together,' the theme of this year's MCE, reflects what makes trucking so successful: our ability to come together around shared challenges and common goals," said ATA Chairman Greg Hodgen, CEO of Groendyke Transport, Inc. "When our industry speaks with one voice, we can drive meaningful progress on the issues that matter most to our businesses, our employees, and the customers we serve. This week gives us the opportunity to reconnect, learn from one another, and build momentum for the future."
