LOS ANGELES - Mayor Karen Bass announced coordinated City operations and guidance for the Dodgers Championship Parade on Monday, November 3. The City is committed to supporting the Dodgers and their fans in delivering a world-class celebration that highlights the spirit of Los Angeles in this back-to-back championship win.

"Once again, the Dodgers have shown the world that Los Angeles is the city of champions," said Mayor Bass. "I can't wait to see the best of Los Angeles on full display at the parade as we celebrate our BACK-TO-BACK World Series champions. I encourage all Dodgers fans to plan ahead for the parade, be prepared and celebrate peacefully, safely and responsibly.

DODGERS CELEBRATIONS:

Parade in Downtown L.A.

The Dodgers have shared that the parade is scheduled to begin at 11 AM on Monday in Downtown Los Angeles. The parade will run from Temple Street and Broadway, continuing along an approximately 45-minute route west on Temple, south on Grand Avenue, west on 7th Street, and north on Figueroa Street, ending at 5th Street. Members of the Dodgers will travel atop double-decker buses, on the parade route, greeted by fans from across the city. Fans are encouraged to gather along Grand Avenue, the longest stretch of the parade route.

Dodger Stadium Event

Following the parade, the Dodgers announced a special ticketed event at Dodger Stadium, which will begin at approximately 12:15 PM. Angelenos are advised by the Dodgers that there will not be time to commute between the events. More information available dodgers.com/postseason.

How can I take transit to the parade or Dodger Stadium Event?

Angelenos planning to attend the parade in Downtown L.A. are urged to go Metro and/or Metrolink.

Metrolink, Southern California's regional passenger rail provider, is increasing serviceon the Antelope Valley, Orange County and San Bernardino lines to make it easier for fans from all over the region to participate in the festivities. Upon arrival at LA Union Station, Metrolink riders can transfer for free to LA Metro rail and bus services.

Metro provides the following guidance for those traveling to the parade:

• You can take the B Line from North Hollywood and D Line from Wilshire/Western to a number of downtown stations, including: Union Station, Civic Ctr/Grand Park, Pershing Square, and 7th St/Metro Center.

• If you're coming from the San Gabriel Valley or the South Bay, you can take the A Line to Union Station, 2nd/Broadway, Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill, or 7th St/Metro Ctr Stations.

• If you're coming from Santa Monica or East LA, you can take the E Line to Little Tokyo/Arts District, 2nd/Broadway, Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill, or 7th St/Metro Ctr Stations.

• And you can pick up the A, B and D Lines from Union Station, which connects to Metrolink, Amtrak, and many other bus services.

Take the Dodger Stadium Express to the Stadium Event- The Dodger Stadium Express will start service at 8:30 a.m. Dodger Stadium Express buses from Union Station run on demand, every 5-7 minutes. From Harbor Gateway, the Dodger Stadium Express will run every 20-30 minutes, depending on demand.

Plan Ahead For Parking - Parking at Union Station is expected to be full very early. Attendees are strongly encouraged to take Metro into Downtown versus trying to drive and park before heading to the parade or celebration event. Get Your TAP Cards Ready- Everyone who rides Metro must have their own TAP card. Metro Riders are encouraged to load the round-trip fare ahead of time. TAP cards can be purchased at stations or people can download digital TAP cards on their phones and pre-load fares while still at home. https://www.metro.net/riding/fares/how-to-pay/.

What should I know if I am driving to the parade?

The best way to get to the parade is to go Metro. Streets surrounding the parade area will have very limited access to ensure safety and accessibility for all those who are attending and participating. Make sure to check the map for street closures and allow ample time to travel Downtown and find parking. Cars parked along the parade route are subject to towing.

In coordination with the California Highway Patrol and LAPD, Caltrans will close the left turn pockets at the Temple Street off-ramps from northbound Interstate 110 and southbound US 101. Additionally, the northbound and southbound I-110 off-ramps to 6th Street and 5th Street onramps to northbound and southbound to I-110 will be closed.

The City's Department of Transportation is taking the following action:

• Executing Traffic Management Plans- LADOT Special Traffic Operations has prepared traffic management plans for the parade route including street closures and detours to ensure safety of participants and spectators. LADOT DASH and Commuter Express service impacts will be shown on ladottransit.com

• Deploying Traffic Officers to Manage Car Flow and Improve Traffic Safety- More than 125 white glove traffic officers will be deployed to manage car flow and improve traffic safety around the parade route.

• Managing Traffic in Real-Time Traffic-The Automated Transportation Systems and Coordination (ATSAC) Center will be open and monitoring congestion at key intersections to adjust signal timing in response to changing traffic conditions near the parade route and throughout Los Angeles.

How is the City taking proactive steps to keep Angelenos safe during the parade and celebrations?

Safety is the City's top priority and we are working closely with Departments and regional partners. Actions include:

• Activating City's Emergency Operations Center-To ensure coordinated operations and response before, during and after the parade, the City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) will activate with more than 20 departments and agencies' personnel staffing the EOC in person.

• Increasing LAPD Officer Visibility- The LAPD is on heightened alert and will have significant and visible officer presence at and around the parade route and near Dodger Stadium.

• Protecting Businesses and Communities- LAPD is taking proactive strategic action to protect businesses and to ensure there are peaceful celebrations, including by deploying officers and increasing their visible presence. Don't spoil the joy of victory with vandalism or violence. Celebrate peacefully.

• Collaborating with Local and Regional Law Enforcement Jurisdictions- In keeping with operating procedures for major events, LAPD will coordinate closely with local and regional law enforcement partners.

• Strategically Stationing Paramedic and Medical Support- LAFD is helping to coordinate emergency medical services with the Dodgers' Public Safety Team.

Will schools remain open?

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) would like Angelenos to know that all schools will remain open on Monday. The District asks parents to be mindful of anticipated traffic congestion and to allow extra time to get their students to school on time.

What guidance is there for Downtown employers and workers?

We encourage employers to allow for remote work and/or adjusted schedules, as appropriate. Workers are encouraged to take public transit if working in the downtown area.

What can I do after the parade ends?

Downtown Los Angeles is the heart of the city in many ways - a hub for entertainment, culture, activity and so much more.
