Grab your strollers and stretch your legs. Join the Richardson Public Library for a storytime at the park pavilion, then enjoy a walk through the park as we connect to nature with movement, rhymes and fun. Storytime is intended for ages 6 weeks to 3 years, and the program is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

"Story Ballet" is a surreal dance theater quintet re-interpolating Hector Berlioz's historic 1830 composition, Symphonie Fantastique. This re-contextualization queers the original tale into a 75-minute contemporary performance exploring the intersection of mental health de-stigmatization and perception. The work engages technology to externalize the internal experience of the lived realities of performers navigating fragmentation, physical labor and identity.

Disc Golf at Breckinridge Park

Play a round (or two) of disc golf at Breckinridge Park. The disc golf course of Breckinridge Park was designed by Eric McCabe, one of the most-renowned disc golf course designers and the winner of the 2010 Professional Disc Golf Association World Championship.

Southwestern Watercolor Society 63rd Annual Juried Member Exhibition

Watercolor and water media paintings juried into the 63rd Annual Southwestern Watercolor Society Membership Exhibition are on exhibit at the SP/N Gallery. The watercolor exhibition of 78 paintings feature all types of water media paintings on paper from abstract to realistic. Most of the paintings are for sale.

Annual Peanut Butter Drive

Richardson is one of many cities participating in the North Texas Food Bank's annual Peanut Butter Drive. The drive is being held throughout September, with the goal of collecting peanut butter, both physically and online through monetary donations, to help feed North Texans facing hunger. International Translation Day

Celebrate International Translation Day with UTD to honor the vital work translators do to enrich global literature and bridge cultures. The annual open house reception, hosted by the Rainer Schulte Center for Translation Studies, features brief translation readings by talented UTD students and a Translated Book Bingo for a chance to win a prize.

Attend the Cottonwood Art Festival that features more than 200 artists chosen to exhibit their museum-quality work. You can also grab a bite to eat from a variety of vendors including everything from BBQ and southern cooking to handcrafted soda and espresso. There is something for everyone, including kids, like the Artstop Children's Area where they will learn to weave, paint, play with clay and much more.

Huffhines Harvest Fest - Celebrating 50 Years

Registration is open for the 21st Annual Richardson Gobble Hobble. This event, featuring a 5K, 10K and a 1-mile Digital Dash Fun Run, benefits the Richardson Boys & Girls Club. The course is fast, flat and features views of the Spring Creek Nature Preserve.
