Abstract
The Sustainable Hardware Security (SUSHI@NIST) Workshop on January 26, 2026, convened stakeholders from industry, academia, and government to identify priorities and develop actionable recommendations for advancing hardware security across the semiconductor ecosystem. This report summarizes the workshop's outcomes, including a call to develop unified, interoperable, and evidence-based trust models, vocabularies, and guidance on governing hardware security. Public-private partnerships, pilot programs, and aligning incentives through appropriate procurement requirements can reduce economic barriers and demonstrate secure, provenance-enabled semiconductor ecosystems.
