OCTOBER 8, 2025 - Statement By Leticia Munoz, RPNM Executive Director U.S. Rep Melanie Stansbury in Washington DC has reported the obvious during a Democrat shutdown that the FAA is not in a sustainable position and claim to be "fighting to get the government reopened." RPNM Executive Director responded by stating: U.S. House Representative Melanie Stansbury is not fighting to open the government. She is fighting for illegals to have free healthcare. The U.S. House Republicans already passed a clean, nonpartisan CR that would've funded the government for 7 weeks, but the Senate Democrats are holding the government hostage with their ransom list of policy changes. Senator Heinrich and Senator Lujan now hold the cards to opening the government, not Melanie with her political theatrics nor Teresa Leger Fernandez announcing she will not be receiving a paycheck. All the Senators have to do is vote on the clean nonpartisan continuing resolution. ### The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico.
