“CBS EVENING NEWS” WITH TONY DOKOUPIL EXPERIENCES MAJOR YEAR-OVER-YEAR GROWTH IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER AND DURING 3Q26

HIGHEST QUARTERLY GROWTH SINCE 2020

The ratings streak for the CBS EVENING NEWS with Tony Dokoupil continues with the CBS News flagship daily broadcast growing significantly year-over-year in September and the third quarter of 2026. This is the highest quarterly growth in viewers for the CBS EVENING NEWS since 2020.

RATINGS HIGHLIGHTS:

• CBS EVENING NEWS was up +24% in the key A25-54 demo and +7% in viewers for the month of September versus last year.

• The broadcast was up +4% in viewers from last year (3Q 2025) and up +1% from the prior quarter.

• CBS EVENING NEWS delivered its highest quarterly growth in viewers since the pandemic, and grew for the second consecutive quarter for the first time in more than five years.

• The broadcast gained 800K new followers in 3Q26 across its social platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok.)

• For 3Q26, CBS EVENING NEWS had 1.1 billion social views (up +164% YoY)
