Men Making an Impact: Project S.A.F.E. Hosts Men’s Impact Conference to Engage Men in Violence Prevention Efforts

At City Colleges of Chicago, we're committed to supporting survivors-and actively working to prevent violence both on campus and in our communities. On Friday, September 12, Project S.A.F.E., City Colleges' violence prevention initiative, kicked off the school year with an innovative event designed to engage men in the violence prevention effort, acknowledging the impact of systemic harm on men and empowering male survivors to access the support they deserve.

The Men's Impact Conference was held at Malcolm X College, bringing together students, allies, and advocates of all genders to discuss men's mental health, masculinity, the role of men in preventing sexual violence, and more. In addition, the Truman College Barbershop provided free haircuts to attendees, and local community organizations were available for a resource fair.
