The present security situation, prospects for further cooperation, and current bilateral relations were the focus of the meeting between Deputy Minister Marcin Bosacki and Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, which took place in Lviv on 1 August.
The meeting covered the full range of bilateral issues, including historical matters, the opening of archives, and the progress of search and exhumation work.
It was agreed that the ongoing Polish support for Ukraine in its war with Russia is in the interest of both countries.
Today's discussion was another part of the bilateral dialogue and followed on from Prime Minister Donald Tusk's meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as well as telephone calls between the Polish and Ukrainian heads of diplomacy, Radosław Sikorski and Andrii Sybiha respectively.
The interlocutors raised the issue of the potential for closer industrial and defence cooperation.
They also spoke about the economy, including investment opportunities for Polish entrepreneurs.
Both sides pointed out the social dimension of Polish-Ukrainian relations, highlighting the importance of responsible communication and of keeping a balanced tone in public debate.
