Crapo Announces Nominations Hearing for HHS, IRS Chief Counsel and Tax Court

Washington, D.C.-U.S. Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) announced the Committee will hold a nomination hearing on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM ET to consider Gerard Klomp to be Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS); James Gadwood to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and an Assistant General Counsel in the Department of the Treasury; Ge Bai to be an Assistant Secretary of HHS; and Andrew A. De Mello to be a Judge of the United States Tax Court.
