Storytime is returning on September 8 and we're excited to see familiar and new faces! Storytime is getting a brand new schedule. All storytimes will begin at 10:30 a.m. and some locations have changed, so please check the calendar.

Tickets - one for each person in attendance - will still be distributed 30 minutes before storytime starts.

Storytimes at Hayward Public Library

Music and Movement - For Ages 0-5

Children are born with an innate love of music and movement, which play pivotal roles in the development of young children. Early literacy, physical, motor, and social-emotional skills are enhanced when children engage in activities such as dancing, singing the alphabet song, and reciting rhymes.

Bilingual Stories/Cuentos Bilingües - For Ages 6 and under

Acompáñenos para cuentos bilingües con rimas, canciones, y cuentos en Inglés y Español! Join us for bilingual storytime with rhymes, songs and stories in English and Spanish!

Chinese Storytime 中文 故事會 - For Ages 6 and under

Preschool Stories - For Ages 3-5

Fun pre-literacy and school readiness activities for preschool-age kids. After the 30-minute storytime there will be 15 minutes for crafts, coloring sheets, or manipulatives.

Saturday Storytime - For Ages 6 and under

Join a rotating cast of your favorite storytime librarians for 30 minutes of stories, songs, and movement! Your kids will have a blast while they develop early literacy and school readiness skills.
