Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Meantime Resources Plc on its successful admission to trading on AIM, a market operated by the London Stock Exchange, and its raising of gross proceeds of £15 million through its initial public offering and separate direct subscription arrangements.
Meantime Resources is an investing company for the purposes of the AIM Rules, focused on acquiring, developing and operating high-quality mining assets in the precious and base metals sector. The company is led by Chief Executive Officer Martin Horgan and a management team who saw through the operational turnaround of Centamin Plc's Egyptian and West African portfolio ahead of its acquisition by AngloGold Ashanti in 2024, which Norton Rose Fulbright advised on.
Following its admission to AIM, Meantime Resources will pursue acquisitions of development-stage and operating mining assets in line with its investing policy, with the objective of building a leading mining operating platform.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by London-based corporate partner Jon Perry and counsel Alex Green, assisted by associate Shayne Ghelani and consultant Deborah Wilcher. Partner Matthew Findley advised on management incentive arrangements.
Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG acted as nominated adviser, bookrunner and broker to Meantime Resources.
Jon Perry commented:
"We are delighted to help Meantime Resources with its market debut and look forward to supporting the company as it pursues acquisition opportunities in the mining sector.
"This transaction demonstrates the continuing importance of London's capital markets in supporting mining and natural resources businesses, while providing investors with exposure to experienced management teams seeking to develop high-quality assets."
Norton Rose Fulbright's global mining group is internationally recognised as a leading legal practice in the sector, providing tailored advice to prominent players throughout the mining industry.
