Traffic Advisory Mariposa County 10/02/26

One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Mariposa County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Kimbell Road for drainage work beginning Monday, October 5, through Friday, October 9, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Mariposa Creek to Whitlock Road for shoulder work on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

State Route 140

  • One-way traffic control from Smith Road to Slaughterhouse Road for shoulder work beginning Monday, October 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
