Indictment in Bath, New Hampshire Double Homicide Investigation

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella announces that the Grafton County Grand Jury in North Haverhill, New Hampshire has returned indictments against Charles Readey, age 73, in connection with a shooting incident that occurred at Mr. Readey's home in Bath, New Hampshire on October 7, 2025, that left two people dead.

Mr. Readey has been charged with alternative counts of knowing second-degree murder and reckless second-degree murder for the shooting death of Cindy Moody.

Mr. Readey has also been charged with alternative counts of knowing second-degree murder and reckless second-degree murder for the shooting death of Kristal Moody.

The charges and allegations against Charles Readey are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
