Announcement: The official English name of the university has changed to The University of Osaka

As the university endeavors to be a global institution and enhance its international presence, the university changed its name from Osaka University to The University of Osaka as of April, 2025.

Under this new English name aligned with global standards, the university is committed to preserving and promoting the civic spirit inherited from Kaitokudo and Tekijuku, two schools long rooted in the Osaka area, guided by the motto, "Live Locally, Grow Globally," as well as actively fulfill our role as a university leading social transformation on the international stage.

*Note that the domain name for the official website of The University of Osaka will remain "osaka-u.ac.jp".
