Lewisville Police Department will hold a free Town Hall to discuss the use of e-Bikes, mini-bikes, electric scooters, and golf carts on city streets, Wednesday, June 10, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Castle Hills Community Center, 2501 Queen Margaret Drive.
With school out and summer in full swing, Lewisville Police are seeing more e-bikes, electric scooters, and dirt bikes on the streets and trails. At this town hall, officers will provide all the do's and don'ts to help parents and kids understand how to safely and properly enjoy these machines. There will be a short presentation, followed by a Q&A session with the officers.
Throughout the summer, Officers will be actively enforcing applicable Texas Transportation Code violations involving non-compliant e-bikes, electric dirt bikes, and golf carts. Their goal is simple: safe streets, safe riders, and a safe community for everyone.
