On May 7, 2026, at approximately 4:56 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Langside Street.
Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were on scene battling the blaze. A 41-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were located deceased inside the residence. The fire spread to a second residence which, was vacant, and no additional injuries were reported.
The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation and continues to work to determine the cause of the fire.
