Ascension St. John Announces Cardiovascular Services Expansion

Added physicians form largest CV group in NE Oklahoma that will strengthen commitment to heart care

Ascension St. John today announced an expansion of its cardiovascular service line, creating Northeast Oklahoma's largest cardiovascular group. Joining the health system's existing clinical team, nearly 30 new physicians and expanded support staff will enhance specialized heart and vascular care for patients throughout the region.

"I'm proud to share that we've hired nearly 30 exceptional physicians, many who have served Tulsa and Northeastern Oklahoma for over a decade," said Ascension St. John CEO Bo Beaudry. "We are bringing together outstanding physicians with a clear goal - to set the standard for cardiovascular care in Oklahoma and beyond."

With thousands of Oklahoma families impacted by heart and vascular disease each year, Ascension St. John plans to invest more than $100 million in cardiovascular care over the next several years, bringing innovative technology, enhanced capabilities and expanded access to the communities we serve.

In addition bringing together over 50 physicians, the scaled cardiovascular program will include additional clinical staff and enhanced services across several key areas of cardiovascular medicine, including:

Interventional cardiology
Heart and vascular surgery
Advanced heart failure and pulmonary hypertension
Structural heart care
Cardiovascular imaging
Critical care

Designed to improve patient access to advanced cardiovascular services while creating a more seamless experience throughout diagnosis, treatment and recovery, the growth of the cardiovascular program will bring together some of the most experienced doctors in the region, and patients at Ascension St. John will have greater access to top care.

The expansion is part of Ascension St. John's broader commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of Oklahoma and strengthening access to high-quality specialty care for future generations.
