Upcoming Symposium Explores Early Detection of Preclinical Alzheimer’s Disease

The Stony Brook Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease is presenting a webinar, "Preclinical Alzheimer's Disease (PCAD): The New Era of Alzheimer's Disease," via Zoom on Friday, November 13, from 8 am to 11 am.

PCAD is a silent, long-term phase of Alzheimer's biology, detectable only through advanced tests. While it carries risk, not everyone progresses to dementia, and early detection is key for future preventive strategies.

This symposium will enhance clinicians' knowledge regarding biological changes, emerging biomarkers, risk factors, evolving diagnostic criteria and ongoing research studies associated with PCAD before noticeable cognitive symptoms appear.
