Intermittent Lane Closures on Buttonwood Ave at the Railroad Crossing between New Castle Ave (SR 9) and Lukens Drive
New Castle - ; The Delaware Department of Transportation announces that Norfolk Southern Railroad forces will be resurfacing and performing general maintenance on their crossing of Buttonwood Ave between SR 9 and Lukens Drive beginning at 7:00 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The work will require the intermittent lane closures of Buttonwood Ave at the Railroad Crossing. The work is expected to be completed by 5:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026.
Motorist are reminded to slow down in work zones and to expect minor delays while in the area.
