The OBL congratulates Thomas J. Fraser, president and CEO of First Mutual Holding Co. in Lakewood, on his nomination to serve as Vice Chair of the American Bankers Association (ABA). Fraser was selected by the ABA Nominating Committee as part of the association's 2026-2027 slate of officers, which will be presented for election during the ABA Annual Convention on Oct. 27 in Salt Lake City.
Fraser's nomination to one of the banking industry's highest leadership positions is a significant achievement that reflects his longstanding commitment to the banking profession and highlights the strength of Ohio's banking industry on the national stage.
"Tom has been a respected leader in Ohio banking for many years, and this nomination is a testament to his vision, integrity and dedication to serving both our industry and our communities," said Michael Adelman, President and CEO of the Ohio Bankers League. "Having an Ohio banker in such a prominent leadership role at the American Bankers Association strengthens the voice of our state's banks in national conversations and underscores the exceptional leadership found throughout Ohio. We are incredibly proud of Tom and congratulate him on this well-deserved honor."
The Ohio Bankers League extends its congratulations to Fraser and the entire incoming slate of ABA officers and looks forward to the leadership they will provide in advancing the banking industry and advocating for banks across the country.
