FY2026 Street Rehabilitation Project | CIP 2603

On August 16, 2026, the City's construction contractor, Hardy & Harper, will commence construction of the City's FY2026 Street Rehabilitation Project, CIP 2603. The project is anticipated to conclude on September 11, 2026.

Working hours for construction are Monday‐Friday, 8am‐5pm, some additional extended hours work as well as night time work August 23rd - August 27th. Work will be performed on Santa Monica Blvd. between Gardner St. and Detroit St.; and on Doheny Dr. between Sunset Blvd and Sierra Pl.

The construction will include cold milling, street resurfacing, pavement striping and markings.

Trash service, water/sewer service, and electrical service will continue as regularly provided. Street sweeping for the affected streets will be suspended.

While the contractor is working, temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted as necessary, and traffic control will be in place. The sidewalks and driveways will remain open and available to the public.

The City has hired Michael Baker International, Inc. to provide construction inspection and management on this project and will be working closely with the residents/businesses of the block to coordinate the project.
