Local community groups are invited to our grant scheme launch event!

We are pleased to share that we will be launching a Community Grant Scheme later in March 2026, with community organisations in the borough able to apply for up to £500 of funding.

If you are a member of a local community organisation and would like to learn more about the scheme, please join us at our launch event.

The event is taking place on Monday 23 March at 6.30pm at Thythorn Hill Community Centre, Horsewell Lane, Wigston, LE18 2HR - no booking is required, just turn up!

The scheme is open to a range of not-for-profit organisations, such as, but not limited to:

• Constituted voluntary and community groups, youth clubs and sports clubs
• Registered charities
• Social Enterprises (Such as Community Interest Companies)
• Parent Teacher Associations and fundraising groups (independent from the school/academy/trust and demonstrating a wider community benefit)
• Uniformed groups (e.g. Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Guides, Brownies, Rainbows etc.) (demonstrating a wider community benefit)
• Faith based organisations (relating to community events/activities open to all, irrespective of faith).
