On October 16, H.E. Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, led a delegation to South Africa and paid a visit to the African Union Development Agency - New Partnership for Africa's Development (AUDA-NEPAD). Amb. Jiang held discussions with Mr. Patrick Abdoulaye Man'ke, representative of Ms. Nardos Bekele-Thomas, CEO of AUDA-NEPAD.
Amb. Jiang highlighted the important significance of China's zero-tariff policy for African countries having diplomatic relations with China, noting that the Chinese side attaches great importance to the crucial role AUDA-NEPAD plays in advancing Africa's integration and economic development. He expressed China's readiness to strengthen cooperation with the African side in the priority areas identified under the Agenda 2063: Second Ten-Year Implementation Plan (2024 - 2033) to jointly build an All-Weather China-Africa Community with a Shared Future for the New Era.
Mr. Man'ke warmly welcomed Amb. Jiang and expressed appreciation for China's longstanding and steadfast support for Africa's efforts in infrastructure development, industrialization, and agricultural modernization. He stressed that China is a strategic partner of Africa and that AUDA-NEPAD stands ready to enhance strategic alignment and practical cooperation with the Chinese side to elevate the building of the China-Africa community with a shared future to a higher level.
